Danhausen got a very tall assist at Madison Square Garden, and he did not have to leave home to find it.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Danhausen faced J.D. McDonagh in a No Disqualification match with the odds stacked against him. Dominik Mysterio was at ringside to help McDonagh, and the two turned their attention to setting up a table. While they were distracted, Danhausen ran to his clone machine, dropped a stuffed cat into the box and summoned New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns.
Towns, coming off the Knicks’ 2026 NBA Championship, delivered chokeslams to both McDonagh and Mysterio and helped Danhausen secure the win in his first match at the venue.
Afterward, Towns joined Danhausen for an interview with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant, where he leaned all the way into the moment.
“I agree, he is the champion of New York City. KAThausen here with Danhausen,” Towns said.
Danhausen tried to return the compliment, telling Towns he is the champion of New York City too. Towns waved it off.
“I’m just sharing the championship with you,” Towns said. “Ever since we’ve been uncursed, you’ve seen how New York’s been living. It’s all because of Danhausen.”
Asked whether he would be back in WWE, Towns left the door open.
“If Danhausen ever needs KAThausen, I’ll be back,” Towns said.
Towns was not the only Knick at the show. Jalen Brunson, the 2026 NBA Finals MVP who led New York to its first title since 1973, appeared in the closing segment alongside World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns before Tyrese Haliburton and Seth Rollins interrupted.
