Former WWE Champion is now a free agent

There’s a major name available on the free agent market.

In October, Goldberg stated this his WWE deal expired at the end of 2022. WWE has opted not to use him and he is now free to sign with any company. Goldberg also stated that he wants a retirement match so he’s not done in the ring as of yet.

Fightul Select confirmed today that he is no longer under contract and in what may or may not be related to the Goldberg news, Tony Khan sent out a cryptic tweet (see below).

For what it’s worth, there were rumors about Goldberg signing with AEW back in early 2019 but nothing was confirmed. Tony Khan was a big WCW fan so it would not be out of the realm of possibility to see Goldberg in AEW for a match or two.

The last time Goldberg wrestled was against Roman Reigns last February at the Elimination Chamber show in Saudi Arabia.
