Former WWE Tag Team Champion Heidenreich is now accepting bookings for appearances, signings, interviews, acting and product endorsements, months after a photo of him working at a Walmart in Ohio went viral and reignited interest in the Ruthless Aggression Era star.
Book Pro Wrestlers announced the news on social media, saying the two sides had connected following the viral photo and that Heidenreich is ready to re-engage with wrestling fans. He is not currently accepting bookings for in-ring matches.

The Walmart story that put Heidenreich back on wrestling fans’ radar began in February 2026 when his co-worker Wade Stratton shared a photo and story on Facebook about his interactions with the former WWE star at a Greenfield, Ohio location. Stratton said the two had been greeting each other in passing for some time before Heidenreich formally introduced himself and casually mentioned he used to be a professional wrestler, naming opponents including The Undertaker, Booker T, William Regal, and The Rock as some of the people he had shared a ring with.
Stratton initially thought his co-worker was joking. After realizing Heidenreich was telling the truth, he tracked down one of his old WWE action figures and had him sign it. “You could tell it made him happy to be able to be in the spotlight again,” Stratton wrote. He described Heidenreich as “one of the nicest and most humble people I’ve met in a while.”
The photo spread quickly among wrestling fans and generated a largely warm response, with many praising Heidenreich’s work ethic and humility. The co-worker also noted that Heidenreich still put him in a headlock for a photo.
Heidenreich, now 53, is best known for his WWE run from 2003 to 2006. The 6-foot-7 former professional football player trained at Ultimate Pro Wrestling before signing with WWE and debuting on Raw in 2003. He was later moved to SmackDown, where he debuted a heel gimmick managed by Paul Heyman and entered a high-profile feud with The Undertaker that culminated in a Casket Match at the Royal Rumble in January 2005.
He later transitioned to a babyface run, teaming with Road Warrior Animal in a revived version of the Legion of Doom. The two captured the WWE Tag Team Championship at The Great American Bash 2005, defeating MNM. Heidenreich was released from WWE on January 17, 2006. He wrestled sporadically on the independent circuit after his departure before stepping away from the business.
