Former wrestler, promoter, and booker George Scott passed away yesterday. He was 84 years old. Dave Meltzer reported on his passing this morning on the latest Wrestling Observer radio show. Scott was the booker during the first 2 WrestleMania’s. Scott also booked in the Mid-Atlantic territory. Ricky Steamboat commented on his passing to Sal Corrente:
“I am very sorry to hear that Sal, he was a good man to me. He played an important part in starting my career in the Carolinas against Ric Flair, The Nature Boy”
