Goldberg confirms how many more matches he has left on current WWE deal

Goldberg is slated to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title at this Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

Goldberg previously confirmed in 2020 that his current WWE deal calls for him to wrestle twice a year and it expires in 2022. He was last seen in action when he took on then-WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event this past January. Goldberg lost the quick match. Now, this Lashley match will finish him up for the year.

While appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Goldberg noted that he has two more matches left on his contract. He was asked if he’s either Team Roman Reigns or Team John Cena. Goldberg started out by joking that he’s not on either team and sees them as victims for him before putting them over.

“I’m a great fan of both of ‘em for what they’ve done individually. For what Roman’s been able to do for the past couple of years is freaking unbelievable. I think it’s fantastic, I think Paul Heyman has a lot to do with that.

I’d love a piece of Roman Reigns and I think maybe even more so would I love to get my hands around Cena’s throat but, it’s wishful thinking. We’ll see. Let me take care of Bobby Lashley first and then, hey, I only got one more match, or two more matches on my deal here so we’ll see what happens.”
