The Great Khali is officially retired from full-time in-ring competition, but he hasn’t completely closed the door on a WWE return.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the Hall of Famer said he would be open to making a special appearance, such as in the Royal Rumble, if the opportunity arose, though a full-time run is out of the question. “Maybe WWE asking, I can go, just one, two days, not full time,” Khali said, citing his physical limitations. “My bad knee, so I can’t go full-time.”
Khali revealed that he is dealing with significant knee issues and is planning to undergo knee replacement surgery. “First, I want to do one, then maybe later,” he said of the procedure. The 7-foot-1 legend explained that his day-to-day life is manageable, with discomfort mainly coming during certain activities. “When I walk and take stairs, then pain. Otherwise, I’m fine,” Khali said, adding that he can still exercise without issue.
Despite his physical challenges, Khali said he simply hasn’t found the time to address the surgery, as he remains busy with his various business ventures back home in India.
