GUNTHER has weighed in on Oba Femi’s rapid rise in WWE, telling HUGE POP! that Femi has not been in the ring with him for 20 minutes yet, and that he believes Femi has the potential to be one of the pillars of WWE in the years ahead.
GUNTHER is part of WWE’s media rounds promoting Clash in Italy this Sunday, May 31. He will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the European Premium Live Event in Turin.
“Yeah, I’m very fortunate with everything that has happened. I cannot complain about how my WWE run has turned out and yeah, to Oba Femi, of course, he came in guns blazing. Really good for him. Haven’t been in the ring with me 20 minutes yet so let’s see. I feel like down the line, that’s gonna be something that’s very interesting. I think he’s a super exciting talent and yeah, very much looking forward to seeing what he’s gonna do in the next year. I think he’s got the potential to be a big superstar in this company, be one of the pillars down the line.”
The Clash in Italy card on May 31 in Turin also features Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship, Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi, Rhea Ripley vs Jade Cargill for the Women’s Championship, and Becky Lynch vs Sol Ruca for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
