Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is set to feature significant fallout from the Money in the Bank PLE, with a major World Heavyweight Championship match, two King and Queen of the Ring tournament bouts, and several key speaking segments announced for the broadcast.
R-Truth is scheduled to speak for the first time since his shocking return at Money in the Bank this past Saturday. After a week of fan speculation and support following his announced release, Truth appeared during the main event tag team match to interfere on behalf of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso, helping them defeat John Cena and Logan Paul. Truth is expected to address the situation and his future intentions tonight.
In a massive main event, “Main Event” Jey Uso will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against “The Ring General” Gunther. The match will also have the shadow of the new Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins, looming over it.
The show will also feature two major returns. John Cena is set to return to Raw following his tag team loss at Money in the Bank. He is expected to address the interference from R-Truth and the future of his ongoing mission to “ruin wrestling.” Additionally, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella will make her return to Raw with what has been billed as a “special message,” likely related to the upcoming all-women’s “Evolution” premium live event in July.
Finally, the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will continue with two high-stakes Fatal 4-Way matches. On the women’s side, a Queen of the Ring tournament match will see Rhea Ripley vs. Kairi Sane vs. Liv Morgan vs. Roxanne Perez. For the men, a King of the Ring tournament match will feature Sami Zayn vs. Penta vs. Bron Breakker vs. Dominik Mysterio. The winners of these tournaments will receive a world title shot at SummerSlam.
