Last week it was rumored that SummerSlam would be headed to Toronto, Ontario next year and now the news is confirmed. As first reported by Entertainment Tonight Canada, the show will emanate from the Scotiabank Arena.
The Scotiabank Arena will also host SummerSlam weekend events, including NXT Takeover, Raw and Smackdown Live. The company will also be doing AXXESS events at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, further cementing SummerSlam weekend as the second biggest weekend of the year for WWE.
“We are thrilled to bring WWE’s biggest event of the summer back to Toronto,” said John Saboor, WWE executive vice-president, special events, in a statement. “We look forward to working with our partners at Tourism Toronto and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to build a blueprint that welcomes our global fan base to the great city of Toronto.”

Saturday, August 10 – “NXT TakeOver”
Sunday, August 11 – “SummerSlam”
Monday, August 12 – “Monday Night Raw”
Tuesday, August 13 – “SmackDown Live”
