For fans waiting for the return of Drew McIntyre, it appears the wait will continue. According to a report from WrestleVotes, there are currently no imminent plans for the former WWE Champion to return to company programming as he is still recovering from injury.
McIntyre has been out of action for several months, and while there has been speculation about when he might make his comeback, it does not appear to be happening in the immediate future.
“Nothing in the pipeline recently, which tells me it’s not imminent,” WrestleVotes reported. “But when he’s ready, if I’m booking, I would put him at the top. I think the guy deserves it.”
As of this writing, there is no official timeline for McIntyre’s return to the ring. McIntyre has also not publicly spoken about his absence from WWE.
