Injured WWE star is fighting against having a second surgery

Following her appearance on WWE Backstage in May where she revealed that she may never wrestle again, Ember Moon has elaborated further on her previous comments.

Last year, Moon ruptured her Achilles and tore it off the bone when she was chasing Carmella during a segment involving the WWE 24/7 Title. As a result, she’s on the sidelines with no timeframe for an in-ring return.

During her appearance on Backstage, she stated that she has realized that she might have a career-ending injury. For more on that, click here.

While doing an interview with Comicbook.com, Moon admitted that she’s fighting against the possibility of having a second surgery. In fact, she pointed out how she doesn’t have a very generic Achilles rupture, but rather the Achilles tendon got split in half and then it also got torn off the bone.

“So I actually ruptured my Achilles in two places, and the surgeon thinks that I may have been wrestling on it for probably about two months already torn to some extent.”

She later noted, “It’s just a very, very long process and I would love, love, love to have a date back on the board but it’s up in the air. I’m sitting here and I’m fighting a second surgery. I’m fighting against the second surgery. That’s how bad it is. When I went on Backstage and I said, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever going to wrestle again,’ I meant what I said and I, I stand by that.”

Moon continued by talking about how she was in her feelings during her appearance on Backstage because she just found out about the complications. She stated that she was so ashamed for crying on television but knows that sometimes you need that outlet.

Moon brought up how the likes of Mark Henry, Booker T, and Triple H have been checking up on her. She stated that another legend has reached out and was trying to help her out with rehab options and other things.

“So yeah, like there is a light, it is getting better. I just don’t have a time-frame and I don’t know when.”
