As we noted last night, AJ Styles was injured after he rotated in the air after taking a spear from Edge. The injury happened when Styles landed awkwardly on his shoulder.
Trainers checked on Styles and the decision was made that he needed to be quickly eliminated so an audible was called.
Styles was checked on backstage by trainers and, as reported on Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer, Styles has a shoulder separation. This means he will need to take time off and it could mean that he might miss WrestleMania.
Meltzer noted that WWE is hopeful that he will be back in time for Mania. We’ll pass along updates on Styles when we get them.
