Ivan Koloff has passed away at the age of 74 after battling liver cancer.
He defeated Bruno Sammartino on January 18, 1971, at Madison Square Garden to win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship after Sammartino held the Championship for nearly eight years. He was also a four-time NWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion and a three-time NWA Television Champion.
