JBL: ‘I Think The Business World Is Better With Vince McMahon In It’

JBL is among those hoping Vince McMahon is not finished in the business world.

On the latest episode of Something To Wrestle, the former WWE Champion shared his thoughts on what could be next for McMahon, who has been the subject of ongoing legal matters since stepping away from the company.

McMahon resigned from TKO Group Holdings in early 2024 following Janel Grant’s lawsuit, which contained allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. McMahon has denied the allegations, and recent reporting indicates he has been working to resolve the litigation. JBL kept his comments focused squarely on McMahon’s business record, drawing a clear line between the personal and the professional.

“I think the business world is better with Vince McMahon in it. I think the entertainment world is better with Vince McMahon in it. You can pick and choose whether you like him personally or not,” JBL said. “I’m just talking professionally. Is he good for business?”

JBL pointed to McMahon’s track record as evidence. “He took a $1 million investment and sold it for $9.3 billion. It’s one of the greatest stories in American history,” he said, marveling at how McMahon built a global empire out of “a wrestling industry that was in armories and high school gyms.”

Calling McMahon “the ultimate puppet master” who always kept his cards close to the vest, JBL said he would welcome a return. “Would he be good at 81 to come back and do something? Hell yes, he would. I don’t know what. I have no idea. I don’t have any insight whatsoever. I just hope he does,” JBL said. He added that McMahon has no intention of slowing down, joking, “He’s told me he’s going to live forever.”
