WWE has canceled an upcoming SmackDown taping in Cincinnati. The September 4 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which had been scheduled for the Heritage Bank Center, will no longer take place.
The cancellation was first surfaced by Ticketmaster, which simply notes that “the event organizer had to cancel the event.” No reason for the cancellation has been provided.
The show had been announced back in May as part of a batch of 16 new summer dates for Raw and SmackDown. The date falls on the same weekend as Money in the Bank, which is set for September 6 in New Orleans.
In the meantime, tonight’s SmackDown emanates from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, ahead of WWE’s trip to London next week for Raw on Monday and SmackDown on Tuesday. According to the latest report from WrestleTix, 6,362 tickets have been distributed for tonight’s show, up 327 from two days ago.
The last time WWE ran the building was a December 8, 2025 episode of Raw, which distributed 7,598 tickets. WWE’s year-to-date average for ticket distribution sits at 9,864, a figure that includes premium live events such as WrestleMania.
WWE has confirmed the following for tonight’s broadcast:
- Cody Rhodes defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Gunther in a commercial-free main event, with Sami Zayn as the special guest referee
- Charlotte Flair vs. Liv Morgan in a Queen of the Ring Tournament semifinal
