Jey Uso Explains Why He Wants GUNTHER To Defeat Goldberg

Former World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso has made it known that he wants another match with the man who took his title, GUNTHER.

During an appearance at the SummerSlam Kickoff show, Jey was asked for his prediction on the upcoming match between the current champion, GUNTHER, and the legendary Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Despite Goldberg’s status, Jey is rooting for the man who dethroned him. He explained that a victory for “The Ring General” would clear the path for him to get the rematch he desires.

“I got to go with GUNTHER. ‘Cause right now, GUNTHER is the better man, right? We go back and forth. I got respect for GUNTHER. I have never stepped in the ring with Goldberg before,” Jey explained. “So, my hats off to GUNTHER. I want GUNTHER to win, I want GUNther to get Saturday Night’s Main Event so I can run it back one more time with GUNTHER. I got to knock that wall down for me to check into my next level.”

Goldberg returned on a recent episode of WWE Raw to challenge GUNTHER in what is being billed as his retirement match.
