John Cena is looking forward to reliving his farewell run through WWE’s cameras, calling it one of the best stretches of his life.
WWE Unreal, the Netflix docuseries that goes inside the company’s writers’ room and behind the scenes, returns for its third season on July 21. This time the show heavily features Cena’s 2025 retirement tour, picking up from the end of season two, which closed in the build to WWE SummerSlam last year.
In a post on X, Cena previewed his role in the new episodes.
“So many unforgettable memories in my final year of performance ‘in the arena,'” Cena wrote. “Looking forward to seeing what #WWEUnreal captured and their perspective of one of the greatest years of my life.”
Cena’s retirement run stretched through the end of 2025 and finished with his final match, a loss to Gunther in December. Along the way, he became a record 17-time world champion at WrestleMania 42 and dropped that title to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam before closing out his farewell tour.
Season three runs five episodes and, per Netflix’s synopsis, also promises the return of a fan favorite and a look at the next generation of WWE stars.
