Kevin Nash thinks Tom Brady should get in a WWE ring exactly once.
On the latest episode of Kliq This, Nash was asked about the Brady and Logan Paul situation, which escalated when Brady swung at Paul on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York on July 17. That came a day after Brady told Cody Rhodes on his podcast that he was waiting for WWE president Nick Khan to find him a storyline. Nash said he had not watched any of it, then laid out how he would approach it if he were Brady.
“If you got like a 50, 60 million dollar a year Fox gig calling one game a week, I think that what I would want to do is definitely like I’d want to make it through the NFL, kind of in one piece. I definitely want to start rolling those dice.”
“Smart, smart move. Just and just do it once. Yeah, only do it one time.”
Nash has been around Brady in person and said television undersells his frame.
“I tell you what, though, man, if you’ve ever seen Brady in person, he’s way bigger than you think he is. He’s coat hanger, wide shoulders. He’s a big f****** dude. He’s a lot bigger than you think he is. I remember one time there was a playoff game, and they had the camera positioned where the guys were running by, going into the locker room, and you could see, and then all of a sudden, Brady went by, and he was noticeably bigger than a lot of the guys.”
Asked whether Brady could add 20 pounds of muscle for a match, Nash said no.
“He’s too old.”
“No, f****** not. He ain’t gonna f****** take a bunch of gas.”
“Not at f****** 40 something years old. I mean, I’m sure you could put five pounds. Five pounds of muscle on him would be huge. You can put five pounds of muscle on him, just I guarantee you. But he’s always been very diet conscious. Like he knows his macros and all that.”
Nash said Paul is athletic enough to do the heavy lifting and keep Brady’s workload short. Paul lives in Puerto Rico, and Nash suggested sending Brady there to train with him.
“All they got to do is do eight minutes and have Logan do a bunch of, you know, lay here, motherf*****. I’ll go jump and f****** do 13 f****** spins and land on you.”
“Logan’s a great athlete. Logan was a quick study.”
“Did you just watch him shoot a basketball the other day? He threw like a 40 foot jump shot, and he walked on and somebody threw him a basketball, and he turned and just set his feet and let it go. And it was like, you know, he’s an incredible athlete.”
Paul tore his triceps at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in May and has been recovering since. The Brady and Paul back and forth began in February, when Brady questioned whether Paul’s WWE work made him a real athlete.
