It’s unclear what is next for Kevin Owens in WWE because he quit (storyline) Monday Night Raw.
However, Owens knows what he wants to do in a few months. He told Chuck Carroll from CBS Local Sports that he would like a match with Finn Balor at WrestleMania. He said this after Carroll asked him what he would do if he could write his own storyline. Owens said, “(Whatever) I would do would lead to me and Finn Bálor at WrestleMania next year, because he and I came to WWE the exact same time. We didn’t know each other before we got there. We became pretty close pretty quickly when we did get to the NXT Performance Center. He’s been my best friend ever since, so I’d love to share the ring with him on that stage in WrestleMania.”
“I love wrestling him and as far as I know he feels the same way,” Owens added. “I think we put on really entertaining matches that are very good. We had a match in Japan a few years ago that I still think was one of my best ones in WWE. So, I think we mesh pretty well.”
For now, it looks like Owens might be off TV at least for short time but he is scheduled for live events next month and he is being advertised for the Super Show-Down event in Australia where he will team with Elias to take on Bobby Lashley and John Cena.
A feud with Balor might not be such a bad idea. At the very least, fans will be treated to some excellent matches.
