Pete Dunne is still weighing his options regarding his future in the pro wrestling business as his contract with WWE is slated to expire.
Dunne’s contract ends at the end of August and will have to make a decision to stay with the company or test out the free agent market.
Fightful Select reported today that WWE offered Dunne a contract extension over SummerSlam weekend. It’s unclear the exact length of the extension. It was added that there’s no word yet on if Dunne has re-signed or if he plans to do so.
Dunne is in the same situation as fellow NXT star Adam Cole, whose contract is slated to expire on Friday.
Dunne did appear on Tuesday’s NXT episode, which was taped on Monday night for a segment involving the likes of Kyle O’Reilly, LA Knight, and NXT Champion Samoa Joe. WWE taped several upcoming episodes of NXT on Tuesday night, but the results from the tapings have yet to come out.
