Logan Paul and Bron Breakker were asked to their faces whether they had been beefing backstage, and both of them laughed.
The exchange is in Paul’s latest vlog. The two met backstage, greeted each other, laughed about something that had happened previously, and made plans to go out after the show. After a slap handshake, somebody off camera asked whether they had been beefing. Paul laughed.
“Jesus Christ,” Breakker said. “There is some narrative every week.”
“Insane news to wake up to,” Paul added.
The claim came from Jonathan Coachman on The Coach and Bro Show, the podcast he hosts with former WWE writer Vince Russo, in a longer answer about Breakker’s position in the company. Coachman’s own account of where it came from is that the subject was already circulating on social media and he had it confirmed to him the previous day.
“I had it confirmed to me that he is pissed. That was the word that was used, pissed, at how he’s being used backstage and how he’s being used in The Vision. And that they’re really, really high right now on Austin Theory.”
“And when you’re pushing one person in a faction, it can make another person take a step back. And everything we’ve seen on Unreal and everything that we believe they should be doing with Bron Breakker, Bron Breakker believes they should be doing with Bron Breakker.”
“And so now he also reportedly doesn’t really get along with Logan Paul that well backstage.”
Coachman went on to suggest Paul Heyman might look to attach himself to Breakker following Brock Lesnar’s retirement.
Paul responded on X within hours of the clip circulating.
“wtf lol”
The vlog is the first time either man has addressed it beyond that.
Both are in The Vision, alongside Austin Theory, Bronson Reed and Maxxine Dupri, with Heyman as the group’s manager. Paul joined in November and signed a long-term full-time contract in January. He tore his triceps at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23, when Angelo Dawkins crashed into him outside the ring during a tag title match against the Street Profits and the tendon tore from the elbow. Breakker took his place as Theory’s partner, and he and Theory are now in their second reign as World Tag Team Champions, having regained the titles from the Profits.
The wider claim about Breakker’s frustration is not one that came from nowhere. There was reporting a month before Coachman’s comments that Breakker had been unhappy with his creative direction this year. Cageside Seats noted at the time that the picture had changed considerably since, given he is a champion again and WWE has spent weeks building him towards Oba Femi.
That program is now booked. Heyman announced on Raw last week that Femi will face Breakker at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6th in Atlanta, Breakker’s home city, after stopping the two of them from fighting on the spot. Heyman told him that if he took one step towards Femi he would be taking one step away from him, and that he respects Femi for doing everything he said he would do to Lesnar.
Breakker has spent recent weeks looking increasingly frustrated on screen, which is the story WWE is telling. Whether any of it reflects anything real is what Coachman was claiming to know.
No other outlet has reported a rift between Paul and Breakker, and neither man had given any indication of one before the vlog.
Paul has not wrestled since the injury and has not been medically cleared, though he has continued appearing with The Vision on television as the group’s hype man. Breakker has held the Intercontinental Championship twice as well as the tag titles.
Bron Breakker denies the rumor that him and Logan Paul don’t get along 😭
