For months, the big rumor about the location for WrestleMania 35 is that it will be held in the New York/New Jersey area, the site of WrestleMania 29. Well, it looks like an annoucment could be coming as soon as Friday. USA Today’s @TheGiantsWire Twitter account confirmed that a “major event” is coming to MetLife Stadium and there will be a press conference on Friday with details.
WWE likes to hold press conferences when they make big Mania announcements but usually they are reserved for January or February. WrestleMania 29 weekend featured the Hall Of Fame ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Raw was held at the Meadowlands Arena (formerly the IZOD Center).
It will be interesting to see what events are booked for New York City and what will take place in New Jersey since NXT Takeover has become part of Mania weekend.
