Matt Hardy busted open, Sheamus & Cesaro retain Raw Tag Team Championships at WWE Great Balls Of Fire PPV

Matt and Jeff Hardy challenged Sheamus and Cesaro for the Raw Tag Team Championship at the WWE Great Balls Of Fire pay-per-view in a 30-minute Iron Man match.

Sheamus and Cesaro went up 2-0 during the first 10 minutes of the match with the idea being that The Hardys had an uphill climb if they wanted to win this match. The Hardys scored their first fall with a combination of the side effect and twist of fate. However, they lost a fall with about 13 minutes left in the match when Cesaro rammed Matt Hardy into the ring post. Matt was not able to get back in the ring by the count of 10 so that meant that Sheamus and Cesaro were up 3-1. Jeff Hardy scored another fall with about 7 minutes left. The pace picked up during the last few minutes of the match as The Hardys tried to tie things up. Matt hit the twist of fate off the top rope and that was enough for him to get a pin on Sheamus and tie the match up 3-3 with about 2:45 left in the match. Jeff Hardy managed to hit the swanton on Sheamus with 35 seconds but Cesaro snuck in the ring and pulled Jeff off and then pinned him. Cesaro rolled out of the ring as Jeff chased him. Jeff hit the twist of fate but the time expired and Sheamus and Cesaro retained. The crowd hated it but it was a hot match.

The trainers came out to check on Matt Hardy because he was busted open during the final few minutes of the match.
