Mike DiBiase arrested after a 12-hour police standoff

Mike DiBiase, son of WWE Hall of Famer Ted Dibiase, Sr. was arrested today after a 12-hour standoff with police in Amarillo, Texas.

“At around 11:30 AM on January 23rd, 2014, Amarillo police found Dibiase hiding under a large stack of cardboard shipping boxes inside a building on the 3900 block of northwest 12th street.

It started last night when officers learned a suspect, who was wanted on a violation warrant was inside the building  that houses several businesses. Police believed at the time he may have had access to weapons. A remote controlled robot was sent in and chemical agents were used to try and draw the suspect out.”

Apparently they did not make the connection to his past in WWE.

“This was probably one of the most difficult building searches I have ever seen the guys on the swat team take on, just from my point of view. It was a large building that was subdivided into smaller areas, there were small offices that had false roofs inside, there were a large number of boxes and shipping containers, there was a lot of furniture, there were small rooms.”
