Mike Santana Teases WWE Arrival With Cryptic Post

Mike Santana appears to be teasing something big, and it may signal the start of his highly anticipated move to WWE.

The former TNA World Champion took to his social media pages with a cryptic message, simply posting the date “7/15.” The tease comes amid strong reports that Santana is on his way to WWE following the conclusion of his TNA run.

After dropping the TNA World Championship to Nic Nemeth at Slammiversary over the weekend, Santana is believed to be WWE-bound. According to PWInsider.com, Santana wrapped up his time with TNA at Slammiversary and will not take part in the company’s TV tapings this week, with his contract set to expire “in the coming days.” He is reportedly expected to sign with WWE once he is free to do so.

Santana’s cryptic post has fans speculating that July 15 could mark his arrival in WWE.

The veteran has taken a winding road to this point. Santana first wrestled in TNA from 2017 to 2019 before spending time in AEW from 2019 to 2024, primarily as a tag team competitor alongside Ortiz. He returned to TNA in 2024 and went on to enjoy the most successful singles run of his career, capturing the TNA World Championship on two occasions.

A move to NXT would make plenty of sense for Santana, who is already familiar to that audience. Thanks to the working relationship between TNA and WWE, he made several NXT appearances during his recent run, most notably facing Trick Williams in a TNA World Championship match.

Should he land in NXT, Santana would immediately bolster a men’s division that has been thinned out by main roster call-ups, including Williams, Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans, Ethan Page, and Ricky Saints. He would instantly become a top contender for the NXT Championship.
