More on WWE’s reported interest in signing Pentagon Jr. and Fenix

As we’ve previously reported, there have been rumors going around indicating that WWE has signed brothers Pentagon Jr. and Fenix. The pair are currently the MLW Tag Team Champions and are under contract with Lucha Underground.

According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Pentagon Jr. and Fenix aren’t able to sign with any other promotion at this time. They might get the opportunity once the fourth season of Lucha Underground wraps up. There’s currently no news on when the season will end, but this week Lucha is airing their 14th episode.

Last season featured 40 episodes. There’s currently a strong feeling that Pentagon Jr. and Fenix could sign with WWE once their Lucha Underground deal is up. However, the pair has many other options such as remaining with Lucha Underground or signing with a company such as AAA.

Pentagon himself recently addressed the WWE rumors at a PCW Ultra event after defending the PCW Ultra World Title. He had this to say:

“Respect that I am the PCW Champion and no one is going to take that from me. Thank you very much! And before I forget. I am not going anywhere. Penta will be in PCW for many, more years.”
