MVP has publicly talked about wanting to reunite the Hurt Business with Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin after the group was split up a few years ago. WWE has even teased on television the group getting back together, but it has yet to happen.
As previously reported last month, there’s been talk within WWE regarding the idea of having NXT’s Carmelo Hayes in the group should they reform it. If WWE goes through with the idea, it won’t likely happen until Hayes challenges Bron Breakker for the NXT Title on WrestleMania Goes Hollywood weekend this April at NXT Stand & Deliver.
In a post on Instagram, MVP teased that he had been talking business with some names backstage at Monday Night Raw this week including Omos, the Street Profits, and Hayes.
He captioned the photo with, “Backstage in Boston talking to some people…”
WWE brought in Hayes to Raw to work a Main Event match against Akira Tozawa before Raw went live.
