A mystery WWE Superstar is set to debut (or return) soon to Friday Night SmackDown. They didn’t say much and there weren’t many hints given other than it looks like this person may be a woman.
The teaser below starts with music and a woman with heels on walking through purple and yellow smoke.
The prevailing theory from fans on social on who this might be is that this person is Chelsea Green. That is not confirmed and it’s just a guess from Twitter users.
Others have guessed Charlotte Flair but Ric Flair said this past week that Charlotte is not expected back anytime soon. Peyton Royce is another possibility since the plan is to repackage her into a singles star. Some fans have also guessed Carmella and Eva Marie. Carmella’s name was name dropped this week by Paul Heyman and Eva Marie has expressed interest in returning to WWE.
If it turns out to be Chelsea Green, then it probably means that she won’t be part of the Retribution stable. Green has played the role of Retribution member in recent weeks but it’s no secret that some of the members of the group are just fill-in’s for now.
Another name that people have speculated on is Sonya Deville. Per her storyline, Deville left WWE after losing to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam. In a quick post-show interview, Deville seemed to hint at changing her name and gimmick.
