WWE president Nick Khan is moving forward with plans for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia, regardless of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Khan made the announcement at the SBJ CAA World Congress of Sports in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
“We’re doing WrestleMania next year in Saudi. First time ever, WrestleMania will be outside the United States or Canada. We’ve had a big, fruitful partnership with them,” Khan said.
Khan did not address, nor was he asked about, the next imminent WWE premium live event set for Saudi Arabia, which has been reported as being planned for June. That show has yet to be officially announced but is one of three WWE PLEs scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia in 2026.
According to The Sporting Tribune, which attended the event, Khan downplayed criticism surrounding WWE’s Saudi Arabia events, describing negative feedback as a “vocal minority” and reiterating that company decisions are driven by ratings, revenue, and relevancy, a line he has used publicly before.
Khan also touched on WrestleMania 42 ticket sales at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, acknowledging they have been slower than last year while maintaining confidence in the show’s commercial performance.
“The marketplace dictates the ticket price,” Khan said, noting that even lower-priced tickets can quickly be resold at higher rates on the secondary market. On overall sales, Khan said they are “feeling good” and that after setting records the last two years, “we think it’s going to get close to that record, but fingers crossed.”
WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
