NXT Tag Team Championship
The Undisputed ERA vs. The War Raiders

War Raiders got an elaborate entrance. This was a very good opener, as you would expect. Several minutes into the match, Hanson went for a dive through the ropes but TUE moved and he crashed hard onto the floor. That took him out of the match for a few minutes so Rowe had to fight on his against Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly for a while. Late in the match, Hanson did the dive through the ropes again and he connected on Strong. In the closing minutes, Strong hit a superplex off the top on Hanson and O’Reilly followed up with a knee off the top on Hanson but that was enough to get the 3-count. War Raiders won after Hanson hit a leg drop on O”Reilly who was on Rowe’s shoulders. Awesome match.

Matt Riddle vs. Kassius Ohno

This match got plenty of time and Ohno looked strong. The story is that Ohno has yet to beat Riddle and he’s never gotten a win at a Takeover event so Ohno was doing whatever he could to pin Riddle. Late in the match, Ohno tried to fist bump Riddle but he ended up taking a knee to the face. Ohno tapped after taking multiple strikes to the face. Ohno has yet to win a match against Riddle or at Takeover.

Velveteen Dream was shown arriving backstage.

NXT North American Championship
Ricochet vs. Johnny Gargano

Gargano won the NXT North American Championship in an excellent match that was hard hitting, fast paced and featured a ton of cool moves. Late in the match, Gargano exposed the floor at ringside and then hit a suplex on the exposed floor. He followed up with a springboard DDT and the pin to win the title. Awesome match. NXT Women’s Championship
Shayna Baszler vs. Bianca Belair

Good match. Baszler retained after her second attempt at her choke submission. There was some help from Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. This was better than expected and good for their level of experience.

Velveteen Dream was shown sitting at ringside.

NXT Championship
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Aleister Black

Ciampa retained thanks to a brief ref distraction at the end and Black’s issues with his left knee. Click here for more on what went down during this match.
