AJ Styles is enjoying life while waiting for creative to call him back to appear on WWE TV again.
Styles has been away from television since putting over Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at the Clash at the Castle event in June. Following that, Styles has worked on a pro wrestling NOAH event and worked shows as part of WWE’s Japan tour in July and the Europe tour in August.
In early August, it was reported Styles was initially planned for an early August episode of SmackDown. However, plans changed as it was reported that WWE planned to bring him back to TV ahead of the WWE Bash in Berlin.
The latest update came from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, who reported that Styles is healthy and isn’t being used on WWE TV. As of this writing, it’s unclear when he will return.
As seen below, he played in a charity softball tournament with AEW’s Kamille, who is the bodyguard of AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone:
Fun day out on the ball field and for a great cause raising money for our Veterans! 🥎 A great event with super cool people. More pics and videos to come tomorrow, but definitely had me missing my softball days! pic.twitter.com/oB9T7yGENf
