New details have emerged surrounding Ludwig Kaiser’s battery arrest, with journalist Raj Giri reporting that the altercation was allegedly provoked by an ICE threat before any physical confrontation took place.
Per Giri, Kaiser was in the elevator with his girlfriend, Andrea Bazarte, an on-screen interviewer and personality for WWE’s Spanish-language coverage and AAA. The two were being affectionate but nothing out of the ordinary. The complainant, identified in the arrest warrant as Richard Reap, did not say anything while in the elevator. It was only after Reap exited on the 12th floor that he allegedly said something to the effect of: “You need to show some f—in’ respect before I call ICE on that b—h.” Kaiser then exited the elevator and the two had a scuffle, but per Giri’s account, no punches were apparently thrown.
That version conflicts significantly with what is contained in the arrest warrant, which was issued by a Circuit Court of the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orlando. The warrant states the incident took place on April 23, 2026 at the Paramount on Lake Eola Apartments in Orlando, Florida at approximately 6:30 PM. Per the warrant, Reap described Kaiser and the woman as acting in an “uncontrollably intimate” manner in the elevator. After exiting on the 12th floor and telling them to “please have some manners,” Reap alleges Kaiser punched him multiple times, pushed him to the ground, and threatened further violence.
Police noted a scratch on the back of Reap’s head and redness consistent with a recent altercation. The arrest was made on May 20, nearly a month after the alleged incident. Kaiser bonded out of Orange County Corrections on $1,000 bail.
Bazarte is a central figure in Kaiser’s ongoing WWE and AAA storyline as El Grande Americano.
Kaiser is set to face Chad Gable, The Original El Grande Americano, in a mask versus mask match as the main event at AAA Noche de los Grandes. A battery arrest could complicate international travel to Mexico depending on the conditions of his release. AAA has already canceled the Serenata para El Grande Americano event that had been scheduled for Mexico City on May 21.
Neither WWE nor AAA has commented publicly on the arrest or Kaiser’s status for Noche de los Grandes. The Noche de los Grandes card also features Bayley, Dominik Mysterio, Penta Zero Miedo, the War Raiders, Pagano, and Psycho Clown. The show takes place May 30 at Arena Monterrey and airs on Fox and Fox One.
This is what I heard regarding the Ludwig Kaiser situation. He was in the apartment elevator with Andrea Bazarte and they were being affectionate, but nothing crazy or out of the ordinary.
