SummerSlam had different endings for Randy Orton and Roman Reigns.
Orton challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title in the co-headliner, but fell short in his attempt to become the top champion on the red brand.
On the flip side, Reigns made his big surprise return following the main event that saw Braun Strowman drop the Universal Title to Bray Wyatt. After the match, Reign attacked both stars and stood tall to close the show.
It all started when Orton posted a photo of Brian Griffin, the dog from the animated show Family Guy, on Instagram. This was a reference to the dental work that Reigns apparently had done while away from WWE for the past few months.
Reigns responded to the post by showing off his smile with his flashy teeth and told Orton to get his numbers up. You can see the exchange here:
