Sasha Banks was originally scheduled to appear in the Women’s WWE Royal Rumble match but the decision was made to keep her out of the match.
Banks is dealing with an injury and is currently not cleared to wrestle. Although WWE has not confirmed the nature of the injury, Banks indicated on 1/17 that she has an ankle injury.
This would explain why they have been doing the storyline where her matches against Lacey Evans have been canceled.
