Release Of WWE Star Was A Big Surprise Internally

WWE released several talents on Friday, including Kayden Carter, Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, and Katana Chance. The releases hit the main roster and NXT.

Fightful Select reports that “Shayna Baszler had helped out at NXT recently, causing a big surprise of her release. She’d re-signed with WWE last year.” She is under a 90-non-compete.

Shayna transitioned successfully to WWE in 2017. She established dominance in NXT, becoming a record-setting two-time NXT Women’s Champion known as the “Submission Magician.”

Moving to the main roster in 2020, Baszler won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship three times – twice with Nia Jax and once with Ronda Rousey. While with WWE, she competed in numerous high-profile matches and feuds across Raw and SmackDown.

They join several WWE stars who were let go, including Kayden Carter, Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, and Katana Chance. Click here for more.
