Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw will feature an interesting appearance.
Pwinsider.com reports that Heath Slater will appear on the show. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what he’ll be doing on the episode.
Slater was among several wrestlers and staff who were released by WWE back in April due to budget cuts related to the financial impact of the coronavirus. There’s no word yet on whether Slater has signed a new deal with WWE.
It’s been previously reported about WWE’s mentality is that talent who were released but are still being paid until their non-compete deals expire, can still be used on WWE television during that time period. WWE did this with Drake Maverick.
This is exactly what’s going on with Slater and this appearance. It was noted in the report that Slater was always well-liked within the company. Slater’s non-compete deal with WWE expires on July 15th.
This also comes at an interesting time for Slater, who has been teased by Impact Wrestling as someone who could be headed to the promotion. Slater also recently posted a teaser video about potentially joining the promotion. To see that, click here.
