We’ve heard reports from backstage in the past about chaos at Raw and SmackDown tapings with many segments being written or rewritten at the last minute.
However, things are said to be a lot worse than usual backstage for tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.
Gary Cassidy is reporting that today’s Raw is “totally unprepared” and there is “chaos from the top.” WWE is set to tape Raw for tonight and next week but the things have been changing “on the fly” while the script for the second show has yet to be completed.
Cassidy added that there’s an apparent lack of leadership and a log of stress due to indecisiveness and a WWE source told him, “The shows will happen and air, but there’s no attainable goal of quality because everything is decided under the pressure cooker of it all coming down to the very last minute.”
McMahon’s mood was said to be “volatile.”
It’s not know exactly what set off McMahon but it’s worth noting that there has been a ton of pressure to get TV ratings up and new broke today that Vince McMahon’s bankrupt XFL was purchased by The Rock, Dany Garcia and RedBird Capital.
