Its been long reported that former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio has been in talks to return to the company.
Mysterio returned to WWE earlier this year for the Royal Rumble as a special entrant in the over-the-top-rope 30-man Battle Royal. The Mexican star then returned yet again in Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble main event. Both were special one-off appearances. Ever since, Mysterio and WWE have been in negotiations to ink the future Hall Of Famer down to a full time deal.
“The Master Of The 619” recently did an interview with The Miami Herald to talk about several professional wrestling topics. He offered an update on his negotiations with WWE and said everything is still “up in the air”:
“We started off with the Royal Rumble at the beginning of the year in January. There was another offer on the table to do the Greatest Royal Rumble, and in between those two events, we’ve been going back and forth in conversations, trying to work out the right deal. It’s still up in the air. Nothing [is] secure, yet.”
Mysterio also discussed being a part of WWE 2K19 and an amazing interaction he had with a fan. You can check out the full interview at this link.
