Rhea Ripley And IYO Sky Pay Homage To Iconic Cartoon Characters With Royal Rumble Gear

Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky brought a unique touch of camaraderie to the WWE Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Entering the match at numbers 22 and 20, the tag team partners enjoyed their moment of togetherness at the Premium Live Event in a unique way, showcasing a coordinated look that went beyond simple color coordination.

Inspired By Animation Icons

While Ripley sported an all-black gear setup for the Rumble, her tag team partner, IYO Sky, appeared in a more cheerful, bright yellow attire. Despite the contrasting color palettes, they shared a specific bond that was later revealed by Ripley on social media. Taking to her Instagram stories, Ripley shared that the idea behind their gear was inspired by iconic cartoon characters, Sylvester the Cat and Tweety Bird.

The homage was detailed, with Ripley sporting a similarity to Sylvester the Cat. She even had her nose tip painted red to match the character’s famous appearance, complementing Sky’s Tweety Bird-inspired yellow ensemble.

Rumble Performance And Retribution

Inside the ring, the duo had mixed results. While Sky was able to eliminate only one participant during her time in the match, she was eventually thrown out by Lash Legend. However, the partnership held strong even after the elimination. Ripley later avenged Sky by eliminating Legend from the contest.

Ripley spent a significant amount of time in this year’s Royal Rumble, anchoring the match for a stretch. She earned three eliminations to her name before finally being thrown over the top rope by Raquel Rodriguez.
