Ric Flair said he was hesitant to do Lakers intro so soon after Kobe Bryant memorial

TMZ caught up with WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair earlier today as he was leaving Los Angeles. This was just hours after he did the player introductions last night before the Lakers game. Flair said he’s been a fan of the Lakers organization for decades dating back to the days of Wilt Chamberlain, Byron Scott, and Jim Baylor. Flair also said he is Lebron James’ biggest fan and he has flown out to Cleveland many times to see James when he played for the Cavaliers.

Flair said the Lakers called him so he could try to lift everyone’s spirits after the Kobe Bryant memorial at Staples Center on Monday but he was reluctant to accept the offer.

“They asked me to come and I said yeah. I felt a little bad that close to the memorial that was so overwhelming on Monday,” Flair told TMZ.

Flair made sure that everyone on the team was okay with him appearing. He said, “But they asked me and I said ‘are you guys sure?’ and they said ‘Yeah, please. The crowd needs to be pumped up a little bit.'”

For those of you that missed it, here is the intro from last night’s game and scroll down for the video of Flair talking with TMZ.
