Matt Riddle has been able to break through on the WWE main roster after a successful run in NXT, which not everyone can do. He’s become a former United States Champion and Raw Tag Team Champion.
Rob Van Dam has been a supporter of the medical and recreational usage of marijuana for years. His views were years ahead of where the world has become as the usage of the plant has become more acceptable.
Riddle is also a supporter of marijuana. There have been comparisons of him to the WWE Hall Of Famer not because of the way of who they are, but also their wrestling style. This is something RVD spoke about during an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling.
“Yeah, I like Matt, he’s a good guy and I can see the influence and why people would say that. The style that I used to do was looked..fought against by the office a lot and now people flip over the top rope to the floor so much that it’s not really as exciting. I think it’s harder to stand out nowadays, especially when you’re trying to stand out with your moves. Matt has his own unique style of MMA that he brings. I used to wrestle barefoot when I started out too also, but yeah, he’s definitely a character that everyone is going to remember.”
