As reported earlier on the site, Steve Austin addressed the rumors about him being responsible for getting Roddy Piper fired from Podcast One due to an episode of Piper’s show, where Piper’s co-host Will Sasso impersonated Austin. Austin said during Tuesday’s episode of his podcast that Roddy had a meeting with the president of Podcast One. Roddy said to the president that he didn’t want to do the podcast for the network anymore due to other things he wanted to do in his life.
The president of Podcast One said that if Roddy doesn’t want to do a podcast anymore then that’s fine and Roddy walked out of the door and that there were no hard feelings between the two and the door is always open between the two sides. Austin ended by saying that he had nothing to do with Roddy leaving the company.
In an update, Piper has since tweeted out the following claiming that he would address the incident:
On Monday the facts will be aired. There will be NO doubt! After that, i want Steve and myself to get on with life! https://t.co/BDCreOxRDH

It should be noted that Ric Flair said on his podcast that Piper lost his WWE Legends deal because of all of this. A WWE rep says that is not the case. I think Flair misheard something that might have been said online or probably meant to say that Piper lost his deal with Podcast One. Regardless, Piper did not lose his WWE Legends deal.
