For those of you that missed it, Roman Reigns defeated Rusev to become the WWE United States Champion. Reigns got the win over Rusev just a couple of minutes after the referee told Lana to leave the ringside area because of her interference. Reigns won after powering out of The Accolade submission and then hitting the spear.
It would appear that WWE will be keeping Reigns out of the Universal title picture for the foreseeable future. This would be Reigns’ first time as United States Champion.
