Roman Reigns has sent one final message to Jacob Fatu on the morning of Clash in Italy, telling his Bloodline cousin via X that Fatu will understand who Reigns truly is after the Tribal Combat match.
Reigns posted: “You Might Not Like It But After Tonight You Will Understand I Am Everything They Say I Am”
The Reigns-Fatu Tribal Combat match is the expected main event of Clash in Italy. The bout comes after Reigns defeated Fatu at WWE Backlash earlier in May. The Backlash match ended with Reigns cheating to defeat Fatu, resulting in Fatu attacking Reigns after the bell. Before Adam Pearce could fire Fatu for the post-match attack, Fatu challenged Reigns to Tribal Combat for Clash in Italy, with the champion accepting the stipulation.
Reigns enters Tribal Combat with a perfect 2-0 record in the stipulation. He defeated Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023 and Solo Sikoa on the Raw on Netflix premiere in 2025 in Tribal Combat matches.
Two fan reports from the WWE Liverpool live event indicated Fatu limped to the back after defeating Solo Sikoa in a street fight and was met by a doctor at the curtain. PWInsiderElite has reported that Fatu’s status for the match is not in question despite being banged up.
The BetOnline betting odds have Reigns as a -500 favorite to retain, with Fatu the +300 underdog. The heavy Reigns favoritism aligns with the WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reporting that Reigns is one of the creative favorites for the card. The veteran-side reads have largely lined up with the betting market, with Jim Ross, JBL, Eric Bischoff, and Matt Hardy all picking Reigns to retain.
Clash in Italy airs from the Inalpi Arena in Turin at 2 PM EST / 1 PM CST. The first hour airs on ESPN, with the full broadcast available on ESPN Unlimited in the US and Netflix internationally.
