WWE Clash In Italy Preview: Reigns Vs. Fatu, Rhodes Vs. GUNTHER

Multiple major rematches are on tap for WWE Clash in Italy on Sunday, with the Inalpi Arena in Turin hosting WWE’s first major Italian Premium Live Event.

Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu meet in Tribal Combat to decide who walks out as the Tribal Chief and World Heavyweight Champion. Reigns defeated Fatu at Backlash earlier this month. Should Fatu lose, then he will have to acknowledge Reigns.

Jacob Fatu reportedly came out of the WWE Liverpool live event street fight against Solo Sikoa banged up, with two fan reports indicating he limped to the back and was met by a doctor at the curtain.

The Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER is the genuine toss-up of the card. The BetOnline betting odds have both wrestlers at -120 in a virtual dead heat, with the odds having moved sharply toward GUNTHER since the original Rhodes -300 opening. Rhodes opened as the favorite earlier in the week but the betting market has shifted significantly.

Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi is the third major rematch on the card. The bout follows Lesnar’s shocking return on the May 18 Raw, where he unleashed chaos on Femi with four F-5s after the broader assumption that he had retired from in-ring competition. Femi earned a dominant win against Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, with the rematch giving Lesnar the opportunity to even the score.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that Lesnar is expected to continue his WWE run beyond Clash in Italy regardless of the rematch outcome.

The Women’s World Championship match has Rhea Ripley defending against Jade Cargill. The rematch comes after Ripley reclaimed the title from Cargill, with the roles now reversed from the WrestleMania 42 bout. Cargill pinned Ripley in the six-woman tag match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The BetOnline odds have Ripley as the biggest favorite on the card at -900, with Cargill the +500 underdog. The heavy Ripley favoritism reflects the betting market’s read on the expected outcome, with WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reporting that Ripley is among the creative favorites heading into the show.
