There’s still no word on when Sasha Banks will make her return to WWE programming. She was advertised for the Raw Reunion show in Tampa but that advertisement was changed about a week before the show.
Dave Meltzer noted that Banks did meet with Vince McMahon a couple of months ago and the expectation is that she would be back by the end of the summer. Banks has apparently been keeping up with the WWE product.
During an interview with talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy, Bayley said that Banks was “so happy” when Bayley won the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Just spoke to Bayley.
She said Sasha Banks was “so happy for her” when she won the title at MITB and called her that night. Bayley noted she also missed Banks’ first title win so it didn’t matter she wasn’t there, they still shared the moment later.
Bayley also said that she speaks with Banks almost every day “just like best friends would.”
Bayley also commented on Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff and noted that the first time she properly spoke with Heyman was after her match with Ronda Rousey in January and she met Bischoff for the first time last week and looks forward to getting to know him. She noted that Heyman has been more influential so far.
Summer ends next month so if Banks does plan on returning at the end of the season, then perhaps she will be back on WWE TV in the next few weeks and perhaps, shortly after SummerSlam.
The full chat with Bayley shall be up tomorrow on @talkSPORT where she dives deeper into the snippets I tweeted:
– Winning the title at MITB, Sasha’s joy
– Three stars she’d love to face and why (great choices)
– Women’s tag titles
– Heyman influence and Bischoff
