Sasha Banks challenged Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship at the WWE Great Balls Of Fire pay-per-view.
Here is a quick rundown of some of the key spots in the match… There was a spot in the match where Bliss pretended like her arm was broken. She’s double jointed so it looks a lot worse than it really is. She has done that spot before but it might have been the first time she’s done it since she moved to Raw. Bliss dominated most of the match until late the late stages when she attempted to hit Twisted Bliss but Banks got her knees up. Banks got her in the Banks Statement but Bliss was able to get her hand on the bottom rope. Bliss lost the match by getting herself intentionally counted out so she still retains her title.
After the match, the women fought near the announcer’s table. They fought on top of the table, Banks pushed her off and then hit the double knees from the announcer’s table to the floor. Apparently, the finish of this match was decided on within the last 24 hours because the odds had Bliss winning but there was a huge swing a couple of hours before the show and the odds had Banks winning.
It looks like we will get a rematch (perhaps with Nia Jax added) at SummerSlam.
