Don’t bet on a SummerSlam return for Dean Ambrose because he may not be ready in time for that show.
Ambrose has been out of action since December with a triceps tear and the news is that his recovery is going well and he was seen at the Performance Center a couple of weeks ago. However, it is not known if he was at the PC because he was doing therapy or if he was working out in the ring. If he was working out in the ring then that would indicate that he is close to returning to action.
Seth Rollins talked Ambrose during an interview with App.com. Rollins said, “Dean’s good, man, he’s on the mend,” Rollins said. “He’s on his way back. Hopefully sometime before the end of the year we’ll see Dean Ambrose on WWE television again.”
For whatever it’s worth, the last update on Ambrose was that he would be back in late August or early September. When Ambrose went down with the injury, the return timetable given for him was 9 months.
