Several released WWE stars teased for Impact Wrestling Slammiversary

Impact Wrestling had TNA World Heavyweight Champion Moose send out a video on his official Twitter account in order to create further buzz for its next pay-per-view event, Slammiversary.

Moose listed Eric Young, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, Kurt Angle, and EC3 in the video. All of these talents were released by WWE. He noted how it’s said that at least one former world champion would be making a surprise appearance at Slammiversary. Other appearances have been teased as well.

He put over Young and the former WWE tag team but noted that he’s not concerned about them. Regarding Angle, he said that the WWE Hall of Famer is past his prime. Finally, he sent a warning to EC3, who has been teasing returning to Impact and is a former world champion.

In fact, on a recent episode of Impact Wrestling, EC3’s theme music played following one of Moose’s matches.

As noted, July 18th is the date of the Impact Slammiversary pay-per-view and also is around the time that those released by WWE in April due to budget cuts are free from their non-compete clause with WWE. Thus, once these deals are up, they’re able to sign with any promotion they want.
