Shayna Baszler returning to WWE TV but not on Raw

Shayna Baszler is slated to make her return to WWE television, but it’s not what some fans might want for her.

She has been absent from television for nearly two months as her previous match came back on the May 12th episode of Raw where she worked with Natalya.

Pwinsider.com recently reported that Baszler was in attendance at last week’s WWE TV tapings and worked a match that will air on a future episode of WWE Main Event. It’ll either be this week or next, but there’s no word yet on who her opponent was.

The former WWE NXT Women’s Champion finds herself in an interesting spot based on a recent report that has come out.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Vince also soured on Baszler completely because he never conceptually grasped the style that an MMA fighter should use in pro wrestling and she doesn’t check his buttons when it comes to women in wrestling, so he made the call to remove her push and take her off television.”

Keep in mind that once she was called up from NXT to the main roster, Baszler was placed into a feud with then-Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Not only did she win the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, but also wrestled Lynch at WrestleMania 36.

Originally, Baszler was supposed to win the Women’s Royal Rumble Match then plans changed, and later she was scheduled to win the Women’s Money In The Bank match. The final payoff would’ve seen her win the Raw Women’s Title.
